Image: Deontay Wilder: Tyson Fury won’t fight meBy Marcus Stewart: Upcoming American heavyweight prospect Deontay Wilder ridiculously believes that he is capable of beating the extremely talented British fighter Tyson Fury. He was even quoted by Uk.fighthype.com, saying “I would like a fight with him [Fury] as soon as possible, but he’s a coward. He won’t fight anyone he knows he has a high chance of losing against.”

Pretty lackadaisical of him to say such an absurd comment if you ask me.

Deontay Wilder would have no chance against a force like Tyson Fury. His great hand speed and awesome power would make him a problem for someone like Wilder who has fought 24 bums and knocked them all out, while Tyson Fury has fought some top quality names and completely outclassed them. It makes me laugh how Wilder believes that he can cause any kind of trouble to the clearly more talented Fury, who I am certain will be the heavyweight champion of the world one day.

Deontay Wilder’s lack of technicality in his style of fighting will make it a problem for him to be able to compete at the elite level. Even someone such as Martin Rogan, who Tyson Fury managed to conquer comfortably, would give Wilder problems without a doubt and I believe that Rogan would be able to send him to the canvas and keep him there.

Tyson Fury is the future of heavyweight boxing. He has a lot of determination, skill and all round talent to be able to compete at the top level. Deontay Wilder is nothing but a below level fighters and the only reason that he’s calling out a great fighter such as Fury is because he wants to get some exposure. Tyson Fury would give the Klitschko’s a good fight; however Wladimir or Vitali would make short work of Wilder, who is nothing short of overrated.
