Wilder will be helping Harrison by sparring with him for several weeks to try and get Harrison ready for some of the heavy shots that the 6’8″ Price will be looking to land on October 13th.

Wilder’s trainer Jay Deas said on his twitter “Just confirmed, Deontay to camp in Cali for three weeks sparring with 2000 gold medalist Audley Harrison! Love 6’5″, 250 lb. lefty spar.”

Gosh, I hope Wilder takes it easy on the aging Brit because if Wilder connects with one of his heat seeking right hands he could have Harris out cold. That’s three weeks of really dangerous sparring for Harrison. Heck, he may not last two days with Wilder if they let Wilder throw with all his strength. Even if they put huge gloves on Wilder and the best headgear that you can get, it’s still going to be tough for Harrison to remain standing.

I think it’s a great idea for Harrison to use Wilder to get ready for Price, because Wilder’s got the much better hand speed, the much better right hand, and the much better jab than Price. If Harrison can learn to survive against Wilder’s huge right hands and left hooks, then Price will be no problem because he doesn’t have the lethal power that Wilder has going for him.

Harrison looked okay in stopping Ali Adams by a 4th round TKO last May. It was a much better performance by him compared to Harrison’s poor effort against WBA heavyweight champion David Haye in 2010.

All Harrison has to do is land one clean left hand on Price’s fragile jaw and he’ll have the win. Harrison needs to follow Wilder’s example by fighting aggressively and just go out there and blow Price out in the 1st round. That’s how you beat Price. Olympic super heavyweight Robert Cammarelle from Italy was teeing off on Price in the 2008 Olympics and halted him in only 2 rounds by fighting aggressively. Harrison needs to take a page out of Cammarelle’s playbook to destroy Price.
