Image: Pacquiao's fans need to accept that he got beatBy Chris Williams: When are Manny Pacquiao’s loving fans going to get it through their heads that their guy Pacquiao got beat by Tim Bradley? When? I haven’t heard to much complaining like this before in boxing. Just accept it already and move on. Pacquiao has a chance to avenge his loss if he wants to.

If not, then so be it. Bradley will move on to bigger and better things while Pacquiao got fight whoever Bob Arum digs up for him from his Top Rank stable fighters.

They want Bradley to be stripped of his WBO title that he worked so hard to get, and they want to see the strap given back to Pacquiao rather than him having to earn it in the ring.

If Pacquiao had simply worked hard for every round like Bradley, then maybe he would have won the fight. You can’ get a win when you’re taking it easy and letting the other guy do all the work. Pacquiao lost the fight, and there’s nothing going to change that. The Nevada State Athletic Commission won’t be some kind of magical mother to step in and strip Bradley of his title and give it back to Pacquiao just so that he, his promoters and his fans can have peace of mind.

Pacquiao and most of all his fans need to accept that the better man won in that fight. That’s just the way it is. If this was a football game and you had one team taking it easy for three of four plans, would you expect them to win? Okay then, Pacquiao got outworked and deserved to lose the fight. It’s a good lesson for Pacquiao and his fans. If Pacquiao doesn’t want to get beat again, he’s going to have to put forth some effort and not just coast until the last 30 seconds of every round and count on the judges still giving him the win. That’s not going to happen, and it shouldn’t happen.
