Wladimir told thesun.co.uk “I don’t see any excitement about a fight with Chisora and it’s the same with Haye. Both of them lost to a Klitschko brother.”

Haye and Chisora will be fighting on July 14th in Upton Park, and the fight has already sold close to 20,000 tickets. It’s expected to sell 40,000 tickets and make both fighters a ton of money. In contrast, Wladimir’s July 7th rematch against Tony Thompson has attracted very little interest from the boxing community other than from Wladimir’s loyal German fans. However, the fight is still expected to be a sellout at the Stade de Suisse in Berne, Switzerland, but the crowd will be mostly supplied by Wladimir’s German fans.

Chisora would be perfect for Wladimir, because he recently gave Vitali Klitschko all kinds of problems last February, and he made Vitali look old. Wladmir would do well to try and prove that he can do a better job than his aging 40-year-old brother Vitali in a fight against Chisora. However, a fight with Chisora will only make sense if Chisora is able to beat Haye in July, because another loss for Chisora would be his 4th defeat in his last 5 fights.

That’s too many losses for him to stay relevant. Chisora absolutely needs to beat Haye if he wants to remain a viable option for the top fighters in the heavyweight division. As for Haye, he already lost to Wladimir last July by a lopsided 12 round unanimous decision, so it’s not surprising that Wladimir has little interest in facing him again.
