By Daniel R. Three time world champion Carl Froch destroyed previously unbeaten and number one ranked super middleweight fighter Lucien Bute in a five round demolition. After reading several ridiculously biased articles from one specific writer who in his own words said “Bute will knock Froch senseless” and “I don’t know why Froch chose to fight Bute” it is clear Froch has made this idiotic writer eat his own words.
The fight started off cagey with neither fighter able to establish their jab however by the second round Froch went up a gear and launched a vicious attack on Bute flustering him with fast punches coming from different angles, it was clear Bute had no answer for Froch’s attacks and was hurt on several occasions from rounds two to five with Froch unloading vicious right hands and left hooks to the head of Bute. By the fifth round it was clear Bute was hurt, every time Froch landed Bute looked dazed and had to resort to holding, then in the last minute of the round Froch launched another attack with Bute trapped on the ropes and landed a flush right hand to the head that snapped Bute’s head back, a few more left hooks and Bute was on his way down but was held up by the ropes causing the ref to step in.
This was one of the worst beatings I have ever seen such a highly rated fighter and number one in the division take. Froch has proved he is the number two fighter in the division behind Ward. Now many people will say Bute has fought nobody and is now a poor fighter but consider this Glen Johnson, Miranda, Magee and Bika these fighters are no push overs yet Bute handled them with ease, Froch deserves the credit he was simply too strong and clinical for Bute on the night.
