Image: Fury will beat Rogan but won’t last long against David Price, let alone the KlitschkosBy Dallan O’ Donnell: In yet another horrible heavyweight match up, unbeaten Tyson Fury takes on 40 year old cab driver Martin Rogan for an Irish heavyweight title. It has generated a lot of interest on both sides of the Irish sea but where will it take either fighter?

Rogan, a former prize fighter champion has seen his best days pass by and Tyson Fury vacated his British and commonwealth titles to avoid fighting the dangerous David Price. Fury had traveler roots that lie in Ireland which is why this fight means so much to him. He has wanted the Irish title since he started his career.

His biggest win came against world title challenger Dereck Chisora who he beat easily I thought but he has since failed to capitalize and further his career instead he chose to fight a 40 year old Martin Rogan. Rogan had his chance after winning prize fighter but age seemed to be his barrier, so this for him is a world title of sorts. If he wins he might get one more crack at the big time.

Not that he would last very long there, that is. Fury should win. He will most likely stop Rogan inside 10 rounds but where to go from there? David Price is the obvious answer but both men seem to not want the bout, a mixture of fear and greed stopping the fight from materializing. Price fights from Sexton next and should win. And then hopefully Fury and Price will get it on in the ring.

No matter what, Fury, Price, Rogan or even Sexton will be no match for the Klitschko brothers. The heavyweight division has become so diminished that Fury vs. Rogan may be the best heavyweight fight of the year! My money is on Fury to knock Rogan out and to move on to slightly bigger things in a laughable heavyweight division. Follow me on Twitter @dallan09
