Image: Bradley: Pacquiao fought a lot of guys in their declineBy Chris Williams: Tim Bradley says that WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao fought a lot of over-the-hill fighters without going into specifics of each and every fighter in an interview at examiner.com. Bradley obviously sees a lot of fluff in Pacquiao’s resume with him taking on big named fighters to pick up some scalps, but guys that were clearly heading downhill.

Bradley said to Examiner.com “I think he [Pacquiao] fought a lot of guys who were on their way out.”

Pacquiao beat an over-the-hill Oscar De La Hoya, Shane Mosley, fading Antonio Margarito, and Miguel Cotto coming off a series of tough fights, one of them being a beating at the hands of Margarito. Cotto also had to deal with a catchweight handicap for Pacquiao, as did Margarito.

Bradley will be looking to knock Pacquiao’s duff off the hill on June 9th to snatch his World Boxing Organization 147 pound title to show that he’s the new kid on the block and ready to take over.

Pacquiao is the old lion who’s been through a lot of wars and has the scars to prove it. Bradley is getting Pacquiao at just the right moment in his career now that he’s coming off a questionable 12 round decision against Juan Manuel Marquez last November in what a lot of people saw as a win for Marquez and a loss for Pacquiao.

Bradley needs to take the fight to Pacquiao and wear him down with activity. Pacquiao used to do well in those kinds of fights but not recently. He’s starting to slow down.
