Geale, 31, won the International Boxing Federation belt with a narrow 12 round split decision win over Sebastian Sylvester in May of last year, and then took an easy optional defense against 37-year-old fringe contender Eromosele Albert last August in a won a 12 round decision victory. Geale, however, took some heavy shots and it wasn’t as easy as the scores would have you believe.

Adama, 31, stopped Roman Karmazin in the 9th round in his last fight last October in somewhat of a surprise victory. Adama has looked good in his last three fights against Angel Hernandez, Marcus Upshaw and Karmazin. However, he was beaten by big puncher Don George by an eight round unanimous decision two years in April 2010. Adama was knocked down in the 7th round in that fight, but the scores were still fairly close it’s unknown if Adama could have come on in the last four rounds to nip it if he had more time to try and wear down George.

On Wednesday night, Adama won’t have to worry too much about Geale’s power because he doesn’t have much in the way of punching power. Geale is a pure boxer and likes to bounce around the ring throwing light punches. He wins his fights by out-boxing his opposition rather than trying to overpower them, because he can’t do that. The only way Geale beats Adama is if he can make him look bad and miss. He’s not going to land with the same kind of power, but he can land more often and frustrate him.
