Bradley said to eastsideboxing.com’s On the Ropes Boxing Radio Program “Marquez made adjustments and came back in the fight and put up a heck of a fight. I’m definitely going to try and use some of the tactics that he used in the fight to help me with my game plan, but then again I also want to throw a little bit of me in there and take chances.”

Bradley doesn’t necessarily need to copy the things that Marquez used to dominate Pacquiao, because he’s so beatable at this point now that his legs are pretty much gone. He can’t move that well and mostly shuffles around the ring looking to throw his combinations. What Marquez did was counter Pacquiao each time he’d throw anything. This led to Pacquiao not punching as much, and his trainer Freddie Roach has no answers for him to solve Marquez’s style, just like Roach didn’t the previous time they fought in 2008 and the time before that in 2004. Roach seems to come up empty when Pacquiao can’t overpower guys.

Bradley says he wants to brawl and box, and he plans on keeping Pacquiao guessing. Bradley doesn’t see Pacquiao as a huge puncher and notes that he mainly gets his knockouts by overwhelming his mostly aging opposition with a lot of shots. Bradley sees it as the third or fourth shot that get’s Pacquiao’s opposition in trouble when they don’t see the shot coming. Bradley sees the fight coming down to whether Pacquiao can hurt him or not. If he doesn’t hurt him, then Bradley sees Pacquiao finding himself in a very tough fight. I agree. Pacquiao is going to get bloodied and battered unless he’s able to score a stoppage against Bradley. This is like Pacquiao facing a young Erik Morales but at the wrong point in Pacquiao’s career now that his legs are gone.
