Is Chisora another all talk British heavyweight about to get exposed by a Klitschko?

Image: Is Chisora another all talk British heavyweight about to get exposed by a Klitschko?By Scott Gilfoid: Dereck Chisora may lose badly to WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko next month on February 18th, but he’s going to win the trash talking event by knockout.

Chisora is doing a good job of talking himself up the same way that fellow Brit David Haye did in his loss to IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko last year, but Chisora is going to likely fall his face and/or get totally dominated the way that Haye did as well.

In other words, we got another Brit heavyweight that is exceptional at out-talking the Klitschkos but who can’t back it up in the ring. It’s kind of sad, but at least he’s beating Vitali in something. I guess that’s one of looking at it. If he can’t do it in the ring, he can do it before the fight by trash talking.

I just see another short, slow and not particularly skillful looking heavyweight about to get whipped by Vitali. But man Chisora can really talk and he looks so convincing. It’s like he honestly believes what he’s saying and that’s kind of scary. Not for Vitali, but for him because I just don’t know how Chisora is going to take it when he gets knocked out by Vitali.

I hope he is level headed enough to connect the dots and realize he never actually beat anyone that was any good and got the fight off of his losses to Helenius and Fury. There are no wins over 1st tier opposition on Chisora’s resume. He’s just been given one of those Rocky type opportunities where he’s handpicked by the champion.

To listen to the way Dereck Chisora brags about himself you’d think he’d already be the heavyweight champion many times over rather than some guy who’s probably not even the third best heavyweight in the UK. I rate David Price #1, David Haye #2, Tyson Fury #3 and Chisora #4. I think John McDermott would give Chisora a run for his money. And I see Anthony Joshua, the British amateur super heavyweight, a lot better than Chisora. The guy hasn’t turn pro year, but he does, I see Chisora pushed to #5 in the top UK heavyweights.

Chisora got the fight off of his performance against Robert Helenius. I guess that was what appealed to Vitali. It would have been nicer to see what Chisora could have done against someone who didn’t come into the fight with a damaged right shoulder like Helenius did.

That tainted Chisora’s efforts because he had a guy who could only with his left hand, and we quickly discovered he doesn’t have a left to speak of. If say Wladimir Klitschko injured his right hand, he’d still knock you out cold because his left hook is his best weapon. But it’s not the case with Helenius. He’s strictly a right hand power puncher and Chisora got a lucky break with the guy coming into the fight with a damaged right shoulder.
