Marquez wants forth fight with Pacquiao on his terms or he’ll retire

By Lisa Madeina: According to ESPN, Juan Manuel Marquez wants a possible forth fight on his terms. Meaning: No fight in Las Vegas, neutral judges, and same catch weight claws. Marquez also went on to say “I’ve found something weak in him [Pacquiao]. If I fight him with the same speed, same pace, and same counterattacks it’ll make things very difficult for him.”

But Bob Arum would never allow this. Because if the fight goes as the third fight that just previously took place, he’ll lose out on a potential mega payday pitting Pacquiao against Floyd Mayweather Jr. A fight, who some consider could be too much for the Filipino superstar. Also if Marquez doesn’t get his way which is very unlikely he will, retirement is his 1st option leaving only Floyd for Manny Pacquiao. A fight which Manny shouldn’t be ashamed of losing in my opinion. Because ask yourselves this…if Manny makes 50 million, is he really losing?

ESPN also notes that Freddy Roach wants to ask Pacquiao what does he want to do rather than having Arum call all of the shots for him. Roach cries he hasn’t really spoke to Manny since after the fight. My guess is he will say Mayweather. But will Arum really let it happen? Doubt it. My opinion is if Manny really feels he won, if that’s what HE feels…he should take his victory and run with it.

Arum isn’t going to allow this fight to happen(Pacquiao-Mayweather). I believe his bitterness towards De La Hoya and Mayweather for leaving him will always prevent this fight. De La Hoya left him [Arum] first. So when Mayweather wanted the fight with Oscar, Arum didn’t want to do business with Oscar. Which caused Floyd to leave. Have you ever noticed how since leaving Arum, Floyd never fought another Top Rank fighter since. And neither has Oscar De La Hoya. Arum obviously holds grudges. History might just be repeating it self.
