Image: Pacquiao-Marquez: Manny will be defeated because a lack of focus, says BeristainBy Chris Williams: Nacho Beristain, the trainer for Juan Manuel Marquez (53-5-1, 39 KO’s), thinks that WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38 KO’s) is primed to be taken out and removed from the heap by Marquez on November 12th in their fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Beristain correctly points out that Pacquiao is overextended because of all of his outside activities, such as his political career and all of his loyal loving fans that are constantly mobbing him and pulling at his sleeves.

“Everything I do know points to Juanma beating Manny Pacquiao on November 12,” Beristain said in an interview at the examiner.com. “The world may be shocked but Pacquiao will be defeated. He has a lack of focus, and Juan Ma will take advantage of this. Being a fighter, a congressman, a singer, all of this will finally catch up to Manny.”

Beristain is correct. Pacquiao’s high paced lifestyle is already starting to show ill affects on him, as he looks worn out, and isn’t the quicker mover in the ring that he was two years ago. It’s like Pacquiao has aged 10 years in the past couple of years and he’s clearly not the same fighter he once was. That’s going to hurt him on November 12th, because without the energy to skip around like he did in his previous two fights with Marquez, Pacquiao is going to be at Marquez’s mercy in this fight.

Pacquiao will take the fight to Marquez like he’s done in the past, but will be there to be hit by the smaller, quicker Marquez. We could see a knockout if Marquez can get Pacquiao bleeding. Paccquiao is a much different fighter once the blood is dripping into his eyes and mouth. He becomes overly concerned with his cuts, constantly touching his face with his gloves, as if worrying about how bad the cut is instead of just fighting his heart out the way that Marquez does when he’s cut.
