McKenna (McJack): WBA Super World Lightweight Champion Amir “King” Khan (25-1, 17 KO’s) will be facing five time world champion and current International Boxing Federation (IBF) Light Welterweight Champion “Super” Zab Judah this Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay & Resort Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. HBO will be showing the bout at 10 PM Eastern Standard Time.

The winner will most likely face World Boxing Council (WBC), WBO World Light Welterweight Champion Timothy Bradley to determine who reigns supreme in the 140 pound division.

Amir Khan is a potential superstar in the making and will he will be training at Freddie Roach’s famed Wild Card Gym in Hollywood. Khan insists that he will not be bothered by all the distractions that accompany a budding superstar.

Khan, who has movie star good looks and is loaded with charisma, acknowledges that he has been approached by Hollywood film-makers. He already shows the star power that makes the elite in tinseltown want to rub elbows with him.

Amir however, is determined to avoid all the glitz in his quest to achieve his dream of being the next big superstar in boxing. Khan insists that boxing is and will continue to be his #1 priority for the foreseeable future. Trainer Freddie Roach is also determined not to let anything get in the way of his fighter. Roach stated just last week that Khan is progressing very well and is ahead of the schedule he had outlined for him. Roach also believes that within two years Khan will be the best pound for pound fighter in the world.

Khan was a silver medalist at 17 in the 2004 Athens Olympics and comes into his fight with Judah as a huge favorite. Amir is blessed with all the tools that a boxer needs to achieve stardom, but the jury is still out on his suspect chin. He showed a lot of heart when he prevailed against the hard punching Argentinean, Marcos Maidana.

Both Khan and trainer Roach are confident coming into the fight. Conditioning guru Alex Ariza was brought back into camp for this fight and it appears to have paid off as Khan is bigger and leaner than ever.

The war of words between Khan and Judah has been heated and the two have been trading insults on twitter non stop.

Roach’s game plan is to have the 2.5” taller Khan, use his athletic skill and speed to fight from the outside. Amir needs to avoid infighting where Judah can quickly get him into trouble with his power shots. The feeling is that the longer the fight goes, the more it benefits the younger Amir Khan.

Amir should pull this one out by a decision or a late round stoppage.
