Haye, 30, is hoping to fight Wladimir in June or likely July.

However, with the injury slow in healing and a good possibility that it won’t have healed by then, it’s looking like Haye will have to instead face Vitali Klitschko. This isn’t the opponent that Haye has been dreaming of, because he’s wanted to fight Wladimir for a long time because he sees him as vulnerable, someone he can beat.

Haye and his manager/trainer Adam Booth has to know which Klitschko brother they’re going to be facing by May, according to the guardian.co.uk. This doesn’t give much time for Wladimir’s injury to heal. It might be in his best interest to back out now and just let Vitali take the fight and not risk aggravating the abdominal tear anymore than Wladimir already has. He can then move ahead and get rested for the bout against Tomasz Adamek in September. The contract with Haye states that either of the Klitschkos can fight him. However, Booth and Haye need to known by May so they can plan on a good strategy for the fight because the brother’s have a different fighting style.

The Haye-Klitschko bout will take place in Germany in one of three large soccer stadiums – Dusseldorf (51,000 seating capacity), Gelsenkirchen 09 61,000 capacity) and Dortmund (80,000 seats). A Haye-Klitschko fight will likely sell out any of the stadiums they put it in. This is going to be a huge fight.
