Pacquiao will make a minimum of $15 million for the fight, which goes for $54.99 on pay-per-view in the United States. However, with the PPV money that the fight makes, Pacquiao will likely make beyond $20 million easily for the fight at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada.

For his part, Mosley won’t exactly make chump change either and will make a minimum of $5 million for this fight. This is pretty good for a fighter who hasn’t won a fight since January 2009. The payday couldn’t have come at a better time for Mosley, because he’s nearing at the end of his career and he won’t likely get too many more opportunities for big paydays, especially if Pacquiao embarrasses him in a one-sided win.

Pacquiao and his promoter Bob Arum are hoping to get a fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. later on this year in November. However, it’s unknown whether Mayweather will be available to fight at that time due to his legal problems and even if he is available, he may still not be ready to fight Pacquiao at that time. In that case, Arum could keep Pacquiao busy by matching him up with either WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto or Juan Manuel Marquez. Either one of those fights will do well on PPV. They might not bring in quite as much money as a Pacquiao vs. Mosley fight, but they’ll likely be more competitive fights
