They gobble up anything told to them by the boxing commentators of major networks like it was the gospel, and then they repeat the same statements like parrots. It is no wonder that many casual fans believe Nonito Donaire is a super-boxer. Commentators constantly bark about how he is supposed to be so great.

This is the farthest thing from reality; Donaire is actually a vulnerable fighter. Donaire has looked impressive and invincible because his opposition has been so weak and of low caliber, they are not supposed to test his vulnerability. This isn’t to say that Donaire doesn’t have skills and good boxing ability, but just that he is a vulnerable fighter and not invincible as he is made out to be.

Nonito Donaire’s major vulnerability is his legs; they cannot stand up under pressure. Donaire is dangerous in the first five rounds of a fight, but after that he weakens and is there to get knocked out if you can catch him as he runs. Fernando Montiel is going to put pressure on Donaire from the very beginning; Donaire has never been in a place like this before. Donaire will feel a psychological and physical pressure that will burst him like a carnival balloon. There will be no posturing in this fight, Donaire will have to fight every second of the fight, and as the fight wears on, round by round, Donaire’s legs will begin to wobble and eventually give out, bringing on an awe inspiring kayo from Fernando Montiel.

The casual fan doesn’t know Fernando Montiel because the major network commentators have never talked about him, but don’t mistake talk for reality, Montiel is the real thing and this man knows how to fight, he is a throwback to the old school bantamweights of the early seventies who would massacre each other in wars, if you get in the ring with Montiel you better be prepared for a duel to the death. Fernando Montiel takes no prisoners.

Make no mistake about it, come February 19, 2011 at Las Vegas, Fernando Montiel will leave the casual boxing fans dumb struck, with mouths gaping open as he exposes Nonito Donaire.
