By Allen Hmiel: Boxing fans will be greatly disappointed if the Mosley performance against Manny is better than expected and the fight results are closer than thought. Why? Because if Mosley gives the smaller Pacquiao a great tussle and comes close to toppling the little man and the score cards are close, then Mosley comes away with a moral victory. By Mosley proving he is equal or at least competitive against Manny he shows the boxing world that Mayweather is just a superior fighter and so far much better than either Mosley or Manny Pacquiao that Floyd would obviously destroy Pacquiao also.
Because after the debacle Mosley had, and the extremely poor showing against the superior boxing skills and speed of Mayweather, “the worlds best P4P fighter”, showed in their fight, fans will realize that Floyd Jr. is so far superior to Manny that a fight between the two would just be a futile attempt by Paq. Pacquiao will realize that if he struggles against Mosley ,which might happen and after the total dismantling and humiliation suffered by the outclassed Marquez against Mayweather, a superiority complex advantage might be given to Mayweather.
Manny isn’t going to go into a fight with Mayweather after struggling with Shane and seeing his past tough opponent Marquez getting destroyed and embarrassed by Floyd losing all 12 lopsided rounds. Roach and Arum who protect Manny, and give him all winnable fights at catch weights against beatable opponents on the downside of their careers. Seems to me that Manny is accomplishing his results with smoke and mirrors and the magical matchmaking skills or Roach and Arum who are protecting their golden goose from tough fights.
If Mosley versus Pacquiao is extremely close say 115-113 or 116-112 on the judges card and Manny was obviously hurt during the fight, then trust me Mayweather-Pacquiao will never ever happen. Mayweather would have proven to be way to tough for the marginal Manny to ever step into the ring in a fight where the outcome would be tilted in favor of a better opponent.
