Image: There Is Still One Last Chance for Audley HarrisonBy Matt Crosbie: After seeing Audley Harrison (27-5, 20 KO’s) embarrassing performance against David Haye (25-1, 23 KO’s)people are quite rightly saying he should retire and let boxing get some dignity back. But there is also one last chance for Audley himself to get some dignity back. I am not saying Audley has any chance of ever fighting at world level again because he doesn’t. But I really do think Audley has all the tools to be successful on the domestic British heavyweight scene.

Derek Chicora (14-0, 9 KO’s) is the current British heavyweight champion and he will soon be fighting for the first time at world level against Wladimir Klitschko (55-3, 49 KO’s). This fight is just as much as mismatch as the Haye – Harrison fiasco. Chisora has fought no one near European level never mind world level and has done nothing to really get a shot at a world title. His onlt fight against any decent fighter was against a old and shot Danny Williams. Chisora will get knocked out by Klitschko within the first half of the fight. But after the fight he will be a name on the heavyweight scene and a much bigger name than he is now with the British public.

Chisora is Harrison’s last chance, after Chisora is knocked out by Klitschko there will not many fights out there for him and there will be no big money fights out there. No one of at world level will want him and there British heavyweight scene has about as much talent as there is water in the desert. So Harrison vs. Chisora for the British Title will be as good as a fight there is on the British heavyweight front. No matter what anyone says the fight will also do quite well financially in the UK, because even throw most of the British boxing fans seem to dislike Harrison he is always in thee news when he is fighting and plus many boxing fans will watching hoping to see him get knocked out again.

But I think if Harrison were to get the fight and he comes with the right attitude and brings his a game (like he did on the night he destroyed Danny Williams in there second fight) I think Harrison would not have to many problems in destroying Chisora within the first 3 or 4 rounds. Harrison would be to big for Chisora, I think Harrison has a lot more natural ability and would have to much power for Chisora to take. I would say after winning that fight that would be the limit for Audley. But at least he could retire with a little bit of dignity and pride.
