Mosley, 5’9″, says he may opt to use his size and reach advantage over the shorter 5’6 1/2″ Pacquiao and box him from the distance by jabbing him.

This is perhaps the only thing that Mosley can do if he wants to win this fight. It’s not that Mosley wouldn’t fight with Pacquiao for a little whole in toe-to-toe action, but he just doesn’t seem to have enough gas in his fuel tank to fight hard for 12 rounds the way he used to a decade or more ago. He’s now someone that gets tired and stays tired the entire fight. He can’t afford that in a bout against the quicker and busier Pacquiao. Mosley has to fight on the outside and just focus on spearing Pacquiao with jabs and then every once in awhile landing a couple of shots and then getting away as fast as possible.

In an article at The Ring Magazine, Mosley said “Pacquiao’s very fast. I’m fast too, but I’d have to use my size and reach advantage on him. With Mayweather, everybody goes after him and gets hit with counters.” Mosley can’t go after Pacquiao because that would be suicide. He would run out of gas and then end up looking as horrible as he did in his lopsided 12 round decision loss to Mayweather earlier this year in May.
