By Bruce Smith: Antonio Margarito is fighting for the pride of his people against the man they call The Mexicutioner, Manny Pacquiao. He doesn’t have the speed or the versatility to compete with Pacquiao and will probably get a thorough beat down as if he were a pinata on Saturday. Margarito has been working his tail off and looking strong physically but I doubt he has the style that would match up well against the P4P King.

Margarito is a statue compared to the blinding speed, multiple-angled barrage he will encounter in the ring tomorrow. Margarito also has slow feet and won’t be able to catch Manny as he darts in-and-out while throwing lightning-quick combos. The fight could end in the middle rounds with such a style difference but I doubt it since Margarito is far from a clean fighter.

First he goes and plays dumb when asked if he knew his wraps had Plaster of Paris in them and now he claims he didn’t know Freddie Roach had Parkinson’s disease? Seriously, has he always been such a chronic liar? Please do not insult our intelligence.

I expect Margarito to go with Plan B and start roughing it up with Pac. I see elbows, head-butts, crotch shots, whatever it takes to try and stem the tide against the Asian Typhoon. He gets a guaranteed $3 million win, lose, or disqualified so he becomes a rich man regardless of the fight outcome.

Since he doesn’t’ want to get KO’d in front of the overwhelmingly Mexican/Mexican-American crowd he will stop at nothing to try and stop getting pinata’d by Pacquiao.

Besides, Manny would love to get back at Margarito for making fun of Freddie Roach’s Parkinson’s disease. Since Pacquiao calls Freddie, “Master”, I’m sure Master will be pleased when Pacquiao turns into The Mexicutioner this Saturday.
