Image: Is Froch capable of following Dirrell's blueprint to beat Abraham?By Scott Gilfloid: Carl Froch (26-1, 20 KO’s) has said that he plans on using Andre Dirrell’s blueprint in his fight with Arthur Abraham (31-1, 25 KO’s) on November 27th to have a way of beating him. Froch saw how well Dirrell handled Abraham and figures he can copy what Dirrell did by going out and imitating Dirrell’s style of fighting for the Abraham fight.

That might be all well and good in theory, but I honestly don’t think it’s possible for Froch to carry that off. He’s missing the most important ingredient needed to be copy Dirrell’s style, namely talent.

Froch doesn’t have the talent to be like Dirrell, so this is bound to fail. If you break it down, Froch is missing a lot of areas besides hand speed and defensive ability. Froch just isn’t flexible in terms of making adjustments with his game like Dirrell. When you have as many flaws as Froch, you have to make an honest appraisal of yourself and be open to making changes.

I honestly don’t see that happening with Froch. Come on, the guy won’t even admit that he lost to Mikkel Kessler. Froch simply isn’t open to facing the truth about himself, his defects and above all his defeat to Kessler. He doesn’t want to face reality and instead tires to convince himself that he rally won the fight.

Froch is going to go out there tonight and face the hardest puncher in the Super Six tournament with his hands dropping down by his legs as if they’re completely useless. It won’t be Dirrell-esque, believe me. It will be some kind of primitive caveman display and it will guarantee that Froch takes a great deal of punishment.

Dirrell, who has amazing hand speed, wouldn’t dare fight with his hands down by his knees like Froch,. But Froch, who is one of the slower fighters you’ll ever see, fights with his hands low all the time and gets pummeled because of it.
