By Chris Williams: Unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr. plans on fighting again in the very new future, according to boxing news from Robin Leach from his site at lasvegasweekly.com. Leach, a popular Las Vegas celebrity, said “He [Mayweather] told me that he was getting ready to fight again and that the bout would be in Dubai. ‘We’ll announce it very soon,’ he told me. ‘But this time it won’t be in Vegas. It will be in another desert kingdom: Dubai.’ Leach is a good friend of Mayweather and that would explain why Leach was given the hot news from Mayweather. It’s going to be interesting to see who Mayweather will be fighting.

Obviously, it won’t be Manny Pacquiao, but it will likely be a popular fighter because Mayweather only goes after big names now. I seriously doubt that Mayweather will be fighting Miguel Cotto or any of the Top Rank fighters, because I think he’s going to stay away from Bob Arum’s stable. Mayweather can’t go wrong if he picks out one of the top light welterweights like Timothy Bradley, Amir Khan or Devon Alexander.

You got to figure that Mayweather will probably pick a smaller guy rather than a welterweight or junior middleweight, because he’s fought smaller fighters in two out of his last three fights. Khan would be an ideal pick, because he’s probably the most popular of the light welterweights. However, it be difficult to arrange a fight with Khan because he would probably want it to take place in the UK, and that’s not gonna happen with Mayweather.
