Mitchell says “I’ll be back,” Mitchell said in an article at Timesonline.co.uk. “It’s only one loss. I’m only 25. I will win a world title.” Mitchell was hardly competitive against Katsidis in the brief fight. The only time that Mitchell seemed to be doing well was when he was moving and staying away from Katsidis in the 1st and 2nd rounds.

But in the 3rd round, Mitchell, not listening to the advice given to him, attempted to slug with Katsidis and was immediately hurt by a hard left hand. Mitchell recovered but continued to get tagged with big shots from Katsidis until Mitchell was rendered defenseless after getting hit with a hard left hand from Katsidis while backed against the ropes. The referee Dave Parris rescued Mitchell, stopping the bout at 1:57 of the round. Mitchell will have to improve a lot from this fight for him to have a chance at winning a world title in the future.

However, with four titles in every weight class, Mitchell could possibly win a title if he waits around long enough for there to be a weak champion. Right now, there’s no one that Mitchell could probably beat in championship fights. Humberto Soto, Katsidis, Paulus Moses and Juan Manuel Marquez appear to be too good for Mitchell right now. However, Mitchell could wait them out until they age more and he could win a title under those circumstances.

Mitchell has to resist his tendencies to trade so much and focus on boxing exclusively if he wants to win a world title in the future. Right now, his chin doesn’t appear sturdy enough for him to beat any of the champions. This is why he needs to focus on boxing exclusively to better protect his chin and keep him from getting pummeled.
