By Amar Jahangir: In The Hitman’s latest interview, he revealed a possible time frame to come back will be after Christmas or possible the New Year. What I liked about this interview is that he doesn’t want to come back and fight easy fighters like a certain Mayweather did. He doesn’t want a tune up fight but he wants to go in and fight the best. He said if the chance came to fight Mayweather again he would say yes right away. He adds that he feel s that he himself did not have a good fight against him due to the referee.

We all know The Pacman considers money very seriously when he boxes. Could you all imagine how much money a rematch between those two fighters would make? In England this will be absolutely massive. I just hope Hatton stays on 140, despite being destroyed by Pacman, I think he is probably the 2nd best 140 pound fighter. I am not a huge fan of Hatton, but one thing I will say that was not the old Ricky Hatton you saw against Manny last time. I would love to see him have one last crack.

Marquez recently said he is going to try his luck at 140, I think this is the perfect fight for Hatton. If he can get a win here which before anyone jumps on me will be a very tough fight, then I think Hatton only needs to take out one more top fighter to get another shot at The Pacman. Anyway whatever happens, I hope Hatton comes back. The Welterweight division has been pretty boring of late with the exception of the pound for pound best. Hatton certainly does not cherry pick his fighters and only goes for the best available.
