froch653467By Michael Payne: After much speculation regarding if Carl Froch (24 – 0, 19 KOs) Vs Jermain Taylor (28 – 2 – 1, 17 KOs) will be available to view for UK fans not heading over to the states. The “continents collide” clash will be show on a live steam on a pay per view basis on frochvtaylor.com.

As no deal has yet been struck with a UK television channel this is one way that ensures fight fans in the UK will have the option to watch the fight on 26th April. It will cost UK fans ₤9.95 or €11.00.

If this means there is no chance of the fight being on TV is yet to be confirmed but this seems to indicate it won’t be. Personally I feel this is going to be bad for the Cobra. He is desperate to get recognition not only by America but also boxing fans in the UK who don’t see him as a world class operator & if the fight is only available on pay per view then it will reduce his audience. If it is only available via an online stream this will surely reduce it further.

I have been a long time fan of Froch & believe this is his time to show what he can really do against a genuine world class opponent in Taylor. It will be a shame if the viewing public in the UK is limited to only his current following & hardened boxing fans.
