But it seems to me that the proposal by team Mayweather is reasonable and fair. There is no proof that Pacquiao or Mayweather has ever taken performance-enhancing drugs. Mayweather, moreover, has especially proven his innocence with his adamant stance on random-blood testing.

By David Lahr: In a radio interview at East Side Boxing, WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley, when asked who will win the Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao fight on March 13th, said “Mayweather, hands down. Easy fight. Like unanimous decision. It might be competitive at the beginning. Once he [Mayweather] gets in his rhythm, he’ll basically pot shot him [Pacquiao] from the outside. Stick and jab and come in with the left hook. And come in with the lead right hand. Use his movement to make Manny miss.”

Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer and Mayweather adviser Leonard Ellerbe both made it clear yesterday that they won’t go along with Arum’s proposal of having the Nevada Athletic Commission decide on which kinds of drug testing methods should be used for the fight.

By Peter Wells: I know most people will think, what is this guy talking about, but if you look at the way these fighters fight, Shane Mosley would beat both Floyd Mayweather Jr and Manny Pacquiao. I have stated how much I believe Manny or Floyd should fight Shane Mosley, and this is to say how and why he would beat both fighters and become the best boxer in the world.

by Jason Alcairo: Richard Schaefer of Golden Boy Promotions has effectively told Bob Arum and Top Rank to take a hike. The disagreement over random blood testing of the fighters is apparently more of an obstacle than it really should be.
“It does not make sense for this to be a commission matter, “Schaefer told Yahoo Sports. He continued, “This is a contractual matter. The commission did not decide the weights or the purse split or how the foreign television rights would be sold.”

By Eric Thomas: In crushing blow in the continuing saga of negotiations between Floyd Mayweather Jr. and World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, moments ago Mayweather adviser Leonard Ellerbe and Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefe, according to Yahoo Sports, rejected the final offer put forth by Pacquiao’s promoter Bob Arum, who had set a deadline for Monday for the offer to be accepted. As such, this means, according to Arum, that Pacquiao will instead be fighting Paulie Malignaggi on March 13th instead of Mayweather.

He dismantled the dangerous Diego Corrales at 130 pounds. But after he was overmatched by Castillo at 135 pounds in their first encounter, Mayweather would begin to pick and choose his battles to ensure he would remain undefeated. Although he “defeated” Castillo in their rematch by a close decision, many questioned that victory as they did the first bout.

He and his promoter Bob Arum already drew a line in the sand and said they don’t want to take any blood tests within 30 days of their March 13th fight, but Golden Boy Promotions and Mayweather are still trying to get blood testing done within that time parameter. I say forget the Mayweather bout. Pacquiao needs to move ahead and fight former IBF light welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi.
