Ruslan Provodnikov calls out Juan Manuel Marquez

provodnikov7By Gerardo Granados: The WBO light welterweight champion Ruslan Provodnikov has challenged the veteran lion Juan Manuel Marquez via his twitter account to fight him if the WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley doesn´t wants to give him a rematch; Ruslan is even willing to fight Marquez in Mexico. It is quite a risk for the Siberian Rocky to go to Mexico instead of fighting in the United States but if he is willing then Marquez should take his word.

This one could be the perfect fight for fight fans being one a pressure fighter and the other a counter puncher. The only problem is that Juan Manuel Marquez has insisted that the only fight that will keep him active is a rematch against Bradley but hopefully he will reconsider and take the challenge.

In planet boxing the fight fans want to see brave lions engage and of course there must be skills involved. Many fight fans don’t care that much about a perfect record or a loss when it is the result of a war inside the ring. Marquez has earned the hard way to be recognized as one of the all time top three Mexican fighters but a victory against a young brave lion as Provodnikov could put him on a position to dispute the number one spot. If he was to lose he would still get the absolute respect of fight fans for taking on such dangerous opponent.

Will it be a good business? Will fight fans be interested? Will promoters agree on terms of the contract? I believe the answer is yes but the major question is: will Marquez accept the challenge?
