By Chris Williams: Trainer Freddie Roach is still longing for the lost yesterdays of his fighter Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) as he approaches his rematch against WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley (31-0, 12 KO’s) in their rematch on April 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Roach wants Pacquiao to be like he was when he was in his 20s and fighting at a super high level with tons of aggression. The problem is Pacquiao is 35-years-old now, and he’s never going to see 25 again.
The 20s are gone for Pacquiao, and he’s just going to have to make do with what he has left in the tank. But Roach still wants Pacquiao to try and fight like he used to, and he gets happy when he sees Paquiao fighting in a fierce manner.
By Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) will be helped out with his training by strength and conditioning coach Justin Fortune when Pacquiao arrives back in the United States to start working out at the Wild Card Gym in Los Angeles, California. Pacquiao recently let go his valuable S & C coach Alex Ariza, the guy who arguably was responsible for making Pacquiao a success at welterweight.

Bradley feels that Pacquiao should be the underdog considering that he was recently knocked out cold by Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012. This is the same Marquez that Bradley easily beat by a 12 round decision last October.

By Chris Williams: WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley (31-0, 12 KO’s) still hasn’t even fought Manny Pacqiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) for the second time yet, and he’s already talking about wanting to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr. Bradley’s hope is that Mayweather will decide on fighting him despite him recently signing a 2-year contract extension with Top Rank that will take him until 2017. Bradley thinks Mayweather can ignore the Top Rank issues and decide to fight him anyway.
By Chris Williams: Top Rank promoter Bob Arum thinks that his fighter Manny Pacquiao (55-5-2, 38 KO’s) is slowly finding his way back to the way he used to fight many years ago when he was hitting guys and then trying to get out of the way of their shots. Arum thinks Pacquiao got stuck with a bad habit of trying to overpower his opponents following his 2nd round KO win over Ricky Hatton in 2009 rather than staying with his elusive style of fighting that had made Pacquiao what he was.

Bradley says he’s going to use movement, and pick his spots for when he feels that Pacquiao is vulnerable for his attacks.

Bradley thinks Pacquiao can’t afford another loss because it’ll show the boxing world that it’s over for him.
