Kovalev not looking past Mohammedi

kovalevBy Allan Fox: Unbeaten IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (27-0-1, 24 KOs) isn’t looking past his mandatory title defense against #1 IBF, #2 WBA, #3 WBO Nadjib Mohammedi (37-3, 23 KOs) on July 18th at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. Kovalev’s promoter Kathy Duva of Main Events has been trying to get a fight against WBC 175 pound champion Adonis Stevenson, but she’s had no luck in doing so.

Kovalev still wants that fight to take place sooner rather than later, but it would have to take place on HBO rather than Showtime because Kovalev has a contract with HBO.
