However, the money that Bradley has been offered for a Khan fight simply isn’t enough for him to feel that it’s worth the trouble when he get just about the same even when fighting a scrub opponent.

By William Mackay: Even if WBC/WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (27-0, 11 KO’s) decides not to face WBA champion Amir Khan (25-1, 17 KO’s) next on July 23rd or not, Khan will still be fighting on that date against one of three possible opponents picked out by his promoters from Golden Boy Promotions. The guys that they’re looking to put Khan in with are Erik Morales, Robert Guerrero or Zab Judah.

Brook, 24, realizes that the 5’10” Khan will have to move up in weight sooner or later because he’s quickly out-growing the 140 pound limit at light welterweight. Brook can’t wait until Khan finally does move up, as he wants to face him and add his scalp to his resume.

Promoter Frank Warren, in his column at thesun.co.uk, believes that if Khan wants the fight with Bradley then Khan is going to have to make some financial sacrifices to get the fight.

Khan has already accepted an offer for the fight and it’s now up to Bradley to accept his offer. However, Bradley is reportedly not interested in facing Khan for the money that has been offered to him.

The fight, which showed Khan throwing a lot of weak flurries and missing a lot of shots and tiring out, failed to establish that Khan is a pay-per-view star with his unimpressive performance. Khan’s performance compared to Victor Ortiz, who was moving up from light welterweight to face WBC welterweight champion Andre Berto, pales in comparison the the much better performing Ortiz.

On paper, this would seem like an exciting match pitting two of the top fighters in the division against each other. It’s still too early to say that Bradley and Khan are the best of the light welterweights because neither has been tested against Lucas Matthysse and Zab Judah.
