Deontay Wilder: Whyte will beat Joshua!

wilder666By Scott Gilfoid: WBC heavyweight champ Deontay “Bronze Bomber” Wilder is expecting undefeated Dillian Whyte (16-0, 13 KOs) to take Commonwealth heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua’s scalp this coming Saturday in their fight on December 12th at the O2 Arena in London, UK. The Joshua-Whyte fight will be televised on Sky Box Office.

Wilder thinks that Joshua hasn’t improved any since he fought in the Olympics in 2012, and he doesn’t see what the 6’6” Joshua has done as a pro to be ranked No.2 by the World Boxing Council.

Deontay sees Joshua’s inflated ranking by the WBC as the politics of boxing, with him getting ranked for some other reason rather than for him having proven himself by facing the best in the division.

Anthony Joshua believes he’s being fast tracked for Tyson Fury fight

joshua567787By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten highly ranked #2 WBC Anthony Joshua (14-0, 14 KOs) believes he’s being pushed fast into a fight against unbeaten IBF, IBO, WBA, WBO heavyweight champion Tyson Fury (25-0, 18 KOs) because people want to see the two of them face each other for the title. That’s why Joshua sees himself battling Fury for his titles in the near future.

Surprisingly, Joshua doesn’t see Dillian Whyte (16-0, 13 KOs) as being talented enough to win a world title despite having beaten him in the past, and having one of the hardest punches in the division.

We could see Joshua change his assessment of Whyte after the two of them face each other next Saturday night with Whyte beating Joshua once again like he did in the amateur ranks.

“The thing with me and Fury, and it’s the same as me and the Dillian Whyte fight is, that people want to see us fight. Champion or no champion – they want to see us fight,” Joshua said to skysports.com. “That’s why it’ll be made. Even though I’m not at that level, I think it’ll be fast-tracked.”

Joshua says he almost had a physical altercation with Whyte

whyte54By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten #2 WBC heavyweight contender Anthony Joshua (14-0, 14 KOs) says he almost got into a physical altercation with unbeaten Dillian Whyte (16-0, 13 KOs) when the two of them were filming the ‘Gloves Are Off’ television special for Sky Sports.

The two British heavyweights had to be separated by security to keep them from throwing blows. It would have been a pity if an actual fight had taken place, because an injury might have resulted and that could have ruined things for their fight this month in eight days from now on December 12th at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

Whyte already beat Joshua before in the amateur ranks in putting him down twice. Joshua wants to try and avenge the loss, and he’s going to try to do that. If not, then it’ll be Whyte moving forward with his career and Joshua being left behind to try and pick up the broken pieces of what could have been.

Joshua working on cardio to prepare for Whyte

joshua466By Scott Gilfoid: The heavily muscled 250lb Anthony Joshua (14-0, 14 KOs) is doing a lot of running to try and build up his cardio for his upcoming fight against undefeated British heavyweight Dillian Whyte (16-0, 13 KOs) for their fight this month on December 12th at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

Joshua, who recently won the Commonwealth heavyweight title with a win over a very slow and vulnerable looking Gary Cornish last September, will now be fighting for the vacant British heavyweight title against his former conqueror Whyte on Sky Box Office.

Dillian Whyte questions Anthony Joshua’s ability to handle adversity

whyte5By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten Dillian Whyte (16-0, 13 KOs) sees Anthony Joshua (14-0, 14 KOs) as little more than a bully, who has had his way against guys that weren’t on the same level as him. However, on December 12th, Whyte wonders how the 26-year-old Joshua handles being in the ring with someone who is going to be putting pressure on him and asking questions of him.

Whyte, 27, already beat Joshua once in the amateur ranks in 2009, and he thinks that the loss is sitting in the back of the 6’6” Joshua’s mind, eating away at him and causing him some mental issues. Whether that’s the case or not, Joshua is going to have some major problems fighting someone that actually throws punches back at him, and who isn’t stupid enough to sit on the ropes like many of the gaud awful opponents that Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has fished for him to fight since he turned pro.

Dillian Whyte expects Joshua to bum rush him early

whyte54By Scott Gilfoid: If there’s one constant in British heavyweight Anthony Joshua’s fights since he turned pro in 2013, it’s the fact that he bum rushes all of his opponents from the opening bell in the 1st round, and looking to obliterate them as fast as possible.

There’s no finesse involved with the hulk-like 250lb Joshua in his fights. He jumps on his opponents immediately, as if he might not have faith in his ability to go more than three rounds due to all the weight he’s lugging around on his bodybuilding frame. Unbeaten Dillian Whyte (16-0, 13 KOs), who will be facing the 6’6” Joshua next month on December 12th, expects Joshua to bum rush him like he’s done with his previous 14 opponents he’s faced.

Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte on Sky Box Office PPV

YouTube video

By Scott Gilfoid: In a controversial move, Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn has made next month’s fight card on December 12th a pay-per-view affair on Sky Box Office. The fight card is headlined by the heavyweight clash between unbeaten Anthony Joshua (14-0, 14 KOs) facing Dillian Whyte (16-0, 13 KOs) at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

To be sure, it’s a controversial move by Hearn to make the Joshua-Whyte fight card a PPV event, because there is arguably only one competitive and interesting fight on the entire card and that’s the main event.

Dillian Whyte beats Anthony Joshua just by showing up, says Hearns

whyte555By Scott Gilfoid: Former world champion Thomas “Hit Man” Hearns is saying that all unbeaten heavyweight Dillian Whyte (16-0, 13 KOs) needs to do in order to beat the highly hyped Anthony Joshua (14-0, 14 KOs) next month is for him to just show up for their December 12th fight, because Whyte already has Joshua beaten due to his previous win over him from 2009. Whyte knocked Joshua down in that fight, and got the better of him throughout the fight with his powerful left hook. Hearns thinks that the loss bothers the 6’6” Joshua.

“Tommy says that all I’ve got to do to beat Anthony is show up – because I’ve got him mentally already,” Whyte said via the mirror.co.uk. “Thomas Hearns actually said that to me, that all I’ve got to do is show up and fight him. He said, ‘You’ve got him mentally, you’ve fought him and beaten him’.”

Joshua plans on making Whyte pay for his trash talking

joshua1111By Scott Gilfoid: British heavyweight Anthony Joshua (14-0, 14 KOs) says he plans on making unbeaten knockout artist Dillian Whyte (16-0, 13 KOs) pay for his trash talking when the two face each other next month on December 12th in their fight at the O2 Arena in London, UK. Whyte has a previous win over Joshua from the amateur ranks, and he’s been reminding him a lot about the win in the last year.

Joshua feels confident that he’ll beat Whyte though because of his success that he’s had since then in winning 14 fights as a pro against largely over-matched older fighters.

Tony Bellew vs. Mateusz Masternak on December 12th on Joshua-Whyte card

bellew56By Scott Gilfoid: Cruiserweight Tony Bellew (25-2-1, 16 KOs) will be fighting #6 WBO, #7 WBA, #9 IBF, #15 WBC Mateusz Masternak (36-3, 26 KOs) in a scheduled 12 round fight on the undercard of the Anthony Joshua vs. Dillian Whyte fight card next month on December 12th at the O2 Arena in London, UK.

Bellew’s promoter Eddie Hearn says that Bellew wanted a real opponent for his fight on the Joshua-Whyte card, and he feels that the 28-year-old Poland born Masternak is a real opponent despite the fact that he was recently beaten by Johnny Muller, Youri Kayembre Kalenga and Grigory Drozd.
