Can Beristain make Chavez Jr to be competitive against Canelo?

Image: Can Beristain make Chavez Jr to be competitive against Canelo?

By Gerardo Granados: Next May 6 at the T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas, two of the biggest names from Mexico will fight for what I consider diametric different reasons. I have no doubt that for Canelo Alvarez; this is a big money grab fight, as he and Oscar De la Hoya are so confident to win against a former middleweight titlist who faded fast due to his lack of discipline. For Julio Cesar Chavez Jr this could be a redemption fight or as well be his cash out fight, but by the way he is training, I can see a fighter who just found his lost motivation.

Image: Jermall Charlo: I’ll whip GGG and Jacobs; Canelo is protected says Chavez Jr – News

By Dan Ambrose: Former IBF junior middleweight champion Jermall Charlo (25-0, 19 KOs) says he’s moving up to the 160 pound division, and he’s going to whip both Gennady “GGG” Golovkin and Daniel Jacobs after he moves up to that weight class. Charlo, 6’0”, would be a very difficult fight for Golovkin and Jacobs. With the power, size and speed Charlo possesses, he’d be a definite threat to both of them. We don’t know how good Charlo’s chin is because he hasn’t been hit by a big puncher yet.

It was a harmless question asked of Canelo, but he took it in a negative way by saying GGG is the one that needs to be considered with getting ready.
