Haye: Bellew is going to be brutally knocked out

Image: Haye: Bellew is going to be brutally knocked out

By Scott Gilfoid: David Haye says he’s going to shock the boxing fans by the way he brutally knocks out WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew on Saturday in their heavyweight match at the O2 Arena in London, England. Haye sees the 34-year-old Bellew having to be carried out of the ring after he blasts him into orbit with a big shot to the head.

For Haye to get any kind of credit from the boxing world for whipping Bellew, he kind of almost has to score a highlight reel knockout. The fight is such a mismatch that it’s not going to help Haye if he just merely beats Bellew by a decision.

Haye says he’ll be ending Bellew’s career on Saturday

Image: Haye says he’ll be ending Bellew’s career on Saturday

By Jim Dower: David Haye could wind up in hot water with the British Boxing Board of Control for some of the comments he’s made about his opponent Tony Bellew for this Saturday at the O2 Arena in London, England. Haye said that he’s going to “hospitalize” the 33-year-old Bellew, and cave in his skull.

Haye also said he’ll be ending Bellew’s boxing career on Saturday night. It seems that Bellew has gotten on Haye’s nerves with some of the comments he’s made about him, and he genuinely upset by them.

Image: Hearn questions Haye’s preparation for Bellew fight

By Scott Gilfoid: Tony Bellew’s promoter Eddie Hearn thinks David Haye (28-2, 26 KOs) hasn’t put in the same kind of effort as Bellew in getting ready for their March 4 fight on Sky Box Office PPV. Haye has been seen lying in the sun, soaking in a Jacuzzi and playing basketball in recent weeks.

Hearn wonders if the 36-year-old Haye has prepared himself enough to win the fight at the O2 Arena in London, England.

Bellew is getting knocked out by Haye says McGuigan

Image: Bellew is getting knocked out by Haye says McGuigan

By Scott Gilfoid: Trainer Shane McGuigan sees Tony Bellew (28-2-1, 18 KOs) not having a good time when he gets inside the ring with former WBA heavyweight champion David Haye (28-2, 26 KOs) in their fight on March 4 at the O2 Arena in London, UK. McGuigan can’t see any other outcome than Bellew being knocked out in this fight.

I think most of the boxing world is in agreement with McGuigan’s opinion. The only thing we don’t know is which round is Haye going to lay the hapless Bellew out in the fight. My guess is round 2, but I can also see the fight ending in the 1st round depending on how aggressive Bellew comes out of the blocks.

Khan picks Haye to beat Bellew

Image: Khan picks Haye to beat Bellew

By Scott Gilfoid: Amir Khan isn’t giving cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew (28-2-1, 18 KOs) too good of a chance of beating David Haye (28-2, 26 KOs) in their fight at heavyweight on March 4 at the O2 Arena in London, England. Khan thinks that Haye will be too big, too strong, too fast and too experienced for Bellew to beat him when these two guys square off on Sky Box Office pay-per-view.

Bellew, 33, has been making a lot of bold predictions about the fight, and he sounds very confident for a fighter that is a big underdog in the fight. Bellew does not care that he’s the underdog though. He sees weakness in the 36-year-old Haye that he believes he can take advantage of.

Haye trashes Eddie Hearn at Bellew press conference

haye5

By Scott Gilfoid: Former two division world champion David Haye spent a good portion of Wednesday’s press conference trash talking Tony Bellew’s promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport. Haye claims that Hearn wanted his name first on the Bellw vs. Haye posters. He also says that he thinks that Hearn sticks his face into the picture each time his fighters are being interviewed.

Haye thinks that Hearn tries to make everything about himself rather than his fighters. In other words, he sees him trying to take the limelight away from his fighters. Haye said that he’s going to close Matchroom Sport down by beating Bellew and Hearn’s top fighter IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

Haye says he defended himself against Bellew

haye4

By Scott Gilfoid: David Haye says he felt threatened by Tony Bellew after he shoved him during their face-off at today’s press conference to promote their March 4 fight. Out of instinct, Haye says he reacted after Bellew shoved him suddenly really hard when the two of them were in a face-off.

It’s unclear why Bellew pushed Haye. The two didn’t appear to be having words with one another. They were just face to face when Bellew gave Haye a hard shove. It looked as if Haye’s left hand connected to the jaw of Bellew while he was on his way backwards.

Bellew: Haye sees me as big risk

bellew96

By Scott Gilfoid: WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew (28-2-1, 18 KOs) is back at it with his talk of wanting to fight heavyweight contender David Haye (28-2, 26 KOs) in early 2017. Bellew, 33, says Haye should take the fight against him if he wants to get the big payday that he’s looking for. Bellew feels that none of the top heavyweights in the division want to fight Haye except for him.

Bellew wants the fight because he feels he can beat him. May boxing fans think the only reason Bellew is looking for the Haye fight is for a cash out, because once he fights his #1 WBC mandatory challenger Mairis Briedis at cruiserweight, he’ll likely lose to him. So instead of fighting his mandatory challenger, Bellew continues to look in another direction.
