Crolla weighed in at 134 ½ lbs. here wasn’t much animosity between Crolla and Linares during the stare down. It was more like two friends than two guys about to go into combat.

Mikey doesn’t care that he would be the visiting fighter. He’s still willing to take the fight with the 30-year-old Crolla in the UK. However, Mikey has a realistic outlook on whether he’ll actually get a chance at fighting Crolla.

Crolla, 30, lost to Linares last September by a 12 round unanimous decision.

Linares captured Crolla’s WBA 135lb title in beating him by the scores of 115-114, 115-113 and 117-111. I saw the fight and had Linares winning comfortably by the score of 117-111. I thought the other two scores were ones that didn’t reflect how one-sided the fight was.

Crolla lost the fight by the scores 115-114, 115-113 and 117-111.

Crolla lost his World Boxing Association lightweight title in the fight. Fortunately for him, he had a rematch clause in the contract. Even without a rematch clause, Crolla would have an excellent chance of getting a rematch with Linares, because the Tokyo based fighter says he want to come back to fight in the UK, because he likes to fight there due to the large crowds and excitement.
