Abraham Knocks Out Taylor; Look for Froch to get beaten later tonight

By Scott Gilfoid: It looks like Jermain Taylor fell apart against Arthur Abraham tonight, wasting a golden opportunity to pick up an easy win against the limited Abraham. I don’t care if Abraham won. Taylor should have won the fight without any problems if he had fought smart and not traded shots with Abraham. I don’t know what happened to him. Taylor used to be able to move around the ring without his legs getting tired out him, but against Abraham he was fighting like he was in quick sand. Still, there was no quit in Taylor. Afterwards, Taylor has this to say: “I’m really disappointed and pretty sad, it was a hard punch, no questions…I’m not finished yet, I can win my next two fights.”

Abraham vs. Taylor: Arthur is tailor made for Jermain

The two will be meeting in the first part of the group I Super Six tournament on October 17th, in Berlin, Germany. What makes Abraham such an perfect opponent for Taylor to get off to a good start in the tourney is the slow pace that Abraham likes to fight at.

Jermain Taylor – His Fourth Last Chance

taylor4245338By Quinton Emerson: Jermain Taylor (28-3-1, 17 KO’s)) has had quite a few last chances. They meet in the 1st round of Showtime’s Super Six World Boxing Classic on 10/17. This brings up an interesting question. Why is Taylor even in this tournament? Let’s look back at Taylor’s career.

What Chance Do Americans Dirrell, Taylor And Ward Have In The Super Six?

ward43434By Tom Stokes: Talk of the fighter least likely to succeed in the super middleweight super six tournament usually ends up with Carl Froch (25-0, 19 KO’s), the WBC champion who’s considered slow and less skilled than his competition, but what about Dirrell, Ward and Taylor, in my opinion these guys are the weakest link in the competition, and come October these three fighters and the American fans, are going to be in for a shock when they find out what they’ve got themselves into.
