Wladimir is Nervous About Vitali’s Bout Against Arreola

By Dave Lahr: IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, the younger brother of World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko, is worried about tonight’s fight between Vitali and the tough, hard-hitting Mexican Chris Arreola (27-0, 24 KO’s). In an article at Max Boxing, Wladimir had this to say about tonight’s fight: “I’m getting pretty nervous, yeah. It’s easier for me to actually stay in the ring and be in the ring as a fighter, than to be in the corner of my brother. So it’s easier to actually fight than being in the corner.”

Haye seems Confident That He’ll Beat Valuev, Already Talking Klitschko Unification bout

In an interview with Sky Sports, Haye came across as his usual supremely confident self, saying “My job is to knock out Nikolai Valuev and become the heavyweight champion of the world.”

Wladimir Klitschko Has Shoulder Surgery, Probably Won’t Fight Until 2010

By Dave Lahr: Few if any boxing fans knew that IBF/WBO heavyweight champion Wladimir Kitschko (53-3, 47 KO’s) injured his left shoulder in his June 20th ninth round TKO victory over Ruslan Chagaev in Germany. And even fewer people had knowledge of Klitschko having surgery to repair the tendon in his left shoulder. The surgery was performed six weeks ago, according to Dan Rafael.
