By Eric Thomas: Provided that he gets by unbeaten welterweight contender on July 17th, WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (25-0, 11 KO’s) says he wants to fight the big stars in the boxing world. Bradley, 26, is obviously referring to Manny Pacquiao, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Andre Berto and Miguel Cotto. Also likely lumped in with those fighters are light welterweights like Devon Alexander and Amir Khan. However, the real big money fights for Bradley would be Pacquiao, Mayweather or Cotto. Those are the fights that Bradley needs if he wants to make a name for himself in the sport.

Will Mayweather or Pacquiao Fight Bradley-Maidana Winner?
By Armando Paz: The whole tragedy surrounding the Edwin Valero now creates an interesting situation for Bob Arum and Top Rank. It was the plan for Bob Arum to put on another Top Rank Fighter vs. Top Rank Fighter production. They did it when Joshua Clottey fought Miguel Cotto; Miguel Cotto fought Manny Pacquiao, and recently when Pacquiao fought Clottey. It’s a good tool to make for easy negotiations and keeping the money within the same company.

Bradley: “He [Maidana] can either be outboxed, or I could get knocked out”
By Jason Kim: World Boxing Organization light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (25-0, 11 KO’s) knows what he’s up against in his next fight against Argentinean knockout artist Marcos Maidana (28-1, 27 KO’s) when they face each other on June 19th at the Agua Caliente Casino, in Rancho Mirage, California. In an article at Mydesert, the 26-year-old Bradley says “It’s a typical fight between a boxer vs. puncher. I’m not a huge puncher, so he [Maidana] can either be out-boxed or I could get knocked out. I don’t think he fights technically at all. He comes with a game plan, but that’s just to break you down and then knock you out. He’s like, ‘I can take your punchers, but can you take mine?”
Is Maidana the most popular fighter in the light welterweight division?
By Chris Williams: It’s strange how things change so quickly in boxing. It was only a matter of a few months ago when World Boxing Association light welterweight interim champion Marcos Maidana (28-1, 27 KO’s) was seen as not well known enough to be a good match for WBA light welterweight champion Amir Khan. How, however, Maidana is not on well known in the United States, but is arguably the most popular fighter in the entire light welterweight division. That’s not taking anything away from excellent fighters like Devon Alexander and Timothy Bradley, both of whom have a large following in the boxing world.
