Lemieux might only go 2 or 3 rounds against Golovkin, says Mosley

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JtXnB_P0dP0&feature=youtu.be

By Dan Ambrose: Sugar Shane Mosley doesn’t expect IBF middleweight champion David Lemieux (34-2, 31 KOs) to last more than 2 or 3 rounds tops in his unification fight against WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs) in their fight on October 17th on HBO pay-per-view from Madison Square Garden in New York.

Mosley is well familiar with Golovkin and what he’s capable of doing in the ring. However, Mosley isn’t completely ruling out a victory for the 26-year-old Lemieux if he gets lucky and lands a big shots, but he still sees Golovkin winning the fight with ease.

Mosley wants rematches against Canelo, Cotto, De La Hoya, Mayweather & Pacquiao

mosley2312By Dan Ambrose: 43-year-old former three division world champion Shane Mosley (47-9-1, 39 KOs) has won only one fight in the past five years dating back to 2010, yet he wants rematches against Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, Floyd Mayweather Jr., Oscar De La Hoya, Miguel Cotto, Manny Pacquiao and Winky Wright.

In other words, Wright wants rematches against guys he either was beaten by or had close victories. Interestingly enough, Mosley doesn’t see himself as a shot fighter despite the fact that he’s lost 4 out of his last 6 fights.

mosleyBy Dan Ambrose: Former world champions Shane Mosley (47-9-1, 39 KOs) and Ricardo Mayorga (31-8-1, 25 KOs) will be facing each other in a rematch in August at a still to be determined venue and date. The two fighters ran into each other recently and decided that it was a good idea for them to face each other once again.

Mosley, 43, stopped Mayorga in the 12th round of their previous contest in August 2008 in a competitive fight. The first thing you have to wonder is whether Mosley and Mayorga are in need of money.

Mosley: Mayweather’s legs are good enough to evade Pacquiao

Manny PacquiaoBy Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao’s trainer Freddie Roach has been repeating himself endlessly about Floyd Mayweather Jr’s legs being slower than they previously were, and that he’s now forced to trade shots with his opponents at this point in his career.

Roach thinks that Mayweather’s old legs won’t be able to carry him around the ring enough on May 2nd to elude Pacquiao’s incessant in and out attacks in their fight at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Mosley picks Mayweather to beat Pacquiao

mosleyBy Dan Ambrose: Former three division world champion Shane Mosley is picking Floyd Mayweather Jr to beat Manny Pacquiao in their mega-fight on May 2nd if the fight comes off. Mosley isn’t sure that the fight will be able to get successfully negotiated but if it does, he thinks Mayweather is the guy that he’s backing.

Mosley has fought both guys in the past and lost to them. Mosley was able to briefly hurt Mayweather in their fight after nailing him with a big right hand. However, Mayweather survived the round and came back to easily out-box Mosley for the remainder of the fight in a one-sided affair. Mosley’s loss to Pacquiao was more like a glorified sparring match with both fighters touching gloves at the end of rounds.
