Andre Ward will NEVER be beaten says Froch

ward56344

By Scott Gilfoid: Unbeaten talent Andre Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) is one day away from imprinting himself on boxing history with his fight against IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) on Saturday night at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

By beating Kovalev, Ward will capture the #1 pound-for-pound spot in boxing, as well as Kovalev’s three 175lb division straps. Former Ward victim Carl Froch, who is now one of the talking heads for Sky Sports, says that Ward WILL NEVER BE BEATEN in his career.

I have to say that I totally agree with Froch. It’s nice that the 39-year-old Froch is giving credit all these years later since he was whipped by him in 2011. It’s better late than never.

ward123

By Allan Fox: Andre Ward says he’s ready for war this Saturday night in his title fight against light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ward and Kovalev met for their final press conference on Thursday. They spoke to the media, and let them know what to expect from both of them on Saturday night in their fight on HBO pay-per-view.

Ward surprised some members of the boxing media when he said he plans on making it “a war” against Kovalev, and that he’s going to do the opposite of what the fans expect him to do.

Andre Ward to take top #1 P4P spot with win over Sergey Kovalev

ward455

By Chris Williams: Andre Ward (30-15 KOs) is on the verge of taking the #1 pound for pound spot this Saturday night with a win over IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) in their long awaited match-up on HBO pay-per-view. It’s already setup for the winner of the Kovalev-Ward fight to take the pound for pound top spot from the current #1 guy Roman Gonzalez.

All Ward needs is to take Kovalev’s scalp to add it to his collection for him to be the No.1 guy. A lot of boxing fans feel that Ward should have already been the No.1 pound for pound guy in the past, but he couldn’t rise beyond No.2, because Floyd Mayweather Jr. was always around during Ward’s best years from 2009 to 2011.

Kovalev-Ward final press conference quotes

kovalev100

By Allan Fox: Andre Ward (30-0, 15 Kos) says he’s not going to be taking any “mess” on Saturday night from IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) in their fight on HBO POPV from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Ward will be attempting to win all three of Kovalev’s titles, as well as a potential #1 pound-for-pound status with Ring Magazine.

The two fighters met on Thursday for their final press conference to hype their fight on Saturday night. Ward was talking real tough, as if he’s got the punching power to win the fight rather than the other way around.

Kovalev vs. Ward winner will face Stevenson says Bellew

1-kovalevwardarrivals_hoganphotos10

By Scott Gilfoid: WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew expects the winner of this Saturday’s fight between IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) and Andre Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) will face WBC 175lb champion Adonis “Super Man” Stevenson (28-1, 23 KOs) in a unification match.

Bellew thinks that the 39-year-old Stevenson has the best chance of beating Ward, who he believes will defeat Kovalev on Saturday night. Stevenson destroyed Bellew in six one-sided rounds three years ago in 2013 in a 6th round knockout. Bellew believes that Stevenson is the most dangerous puncher in the 175lb division.

Kovalev-Ward: Should winner be #1 pound-for-pound?

1-kovalevwardarrivals_hoganphotos2

By Dan Ambrose: The winner of this Saturday’s fight between IBF/WBA/WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey “Krusher” Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) and Andre “SOG” Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) will be vaulted to the top spot in the pound-for-pound in boxing. The top spot is currently occupied by WBC super flyweight champion Roman Gonzalez (46-0, 38 KOs), who has done nothing to lose the position.

Still, it’s thought that the winner of the Kovalev-Ward fight will take the No.1 position as the pound-for-pound fighter in the sport. Ward is ranked 4 with Ring Magazine, and has done little since making his comeback last year to put him in that position aside from looking older and slower in beating three weak opponents: Alexander Brand, Sullivan Barrera and Paul Smith.

Ward: Froch should fight Golovkin

froch8944

By Scott Gilfoid: Former super middleweight champion Carl Froch said earlier on Wednesday that he thinks unbeaten middleweight champion Gennady “GGG” Golovkin should move up two weight classes to fight light heavyweight Andre Ward at a catchweight of 172 pounds in order to give him a credible opponent to fight.

Froch doesn’t think Golovkin has been fighting credible opponents despite the fact that he’s 36-0 and has defended his middleweight titles countless times. Ward has other ideas though. He wants to see Froch fight Golovkin. If Froch wasn’t willing to fight Golovkin two years ago after his second fight with George Groves, it’s not too likely he’ll take the fight now after he’s been out of the ring for two years.

Kovalev vs. Ward, Who wins?

1-kovalevwardarrivals_hoganphotos

By Adam Kallanous: This Saturday, November 19th, Sergey Kovalev (30-0-1, 26 KOs) and Andre Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) put their undefeated records on the line for P4P supremacy on HBO pay-per-view from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Who will win?

Ward started boxing at 9 years old under the tutelage of his trainer, and god father Virgil Hunter. Ward is famous for not losing a fight since he was 14, and being the last American male to bring back a boxing Olympic gold medal for the U.S in 2004. All in all, he ended with 114-5 record as an amateur before turning pro in 2004.

Kovalev: My right hand will do the job on Ward

1-kovalevwardarrivals_hoganphotos6

By Chris Williams: In Sergey Kovalev’s mind, all he needs for him to beat contender Andre Ward (30-0, 15 KOs) on Saturday night is his right hand and little else. Kovalev wants to turn the fight into a street fight so that he can take advantage of his punching power. Kovalev does have the power advantage, but little else besides that.

Ward is the better fighter with the superior speed and experience against top rate opposition during his career.
