Koeber defeats Tomala – Boxing Results

By Jim Dower: Unbeaten former 2000 Olympic heavyweight Gold Medalist for Germany Sebastian Koeber (19-0, 13 KO’s) defeated heavyweight prospect Markus Tomala (6-1, 3 KO’s) by a 10 round split decision for the interim German BDB heavyweight title on Saturday night at the Stadthalle, Rostock, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. The final judges’ scores were 97-94, 96-94 for the 30-year-old Koeber and 96-94 for Tomala. I had Koeber winning the fight eight rounds to two.

Koeber Stops Bikoi

koeder32465By Erik Schmidt: Unbeaten heavyweight prospect Sebastian Koeber (18-0, 13 KOs) stopped Jean Claude Bikoi (15-11-1, 8 KOs) in the 10th round of an action packed bout on Friday night at the Sporthalle, Austerdorf, in Hamburg, Germany. Koeber, 29, a former amateur star from Germany, staggered Bikoi with a powerful right hand at the end of the 2nd, causing Bikoi to almost fall and have to grab onto Koeber to prevent from falling. And then in the 10th, Koeber landed a huge right hand in the opening minute of the round to put Bikoi down. He was able to get up, but staggered around and the fight was immediately called off at 1:02 of the round.
