(Photo credit: Goosen Tutor) By Dan Ambrose: Former WBA 154 pound champion Austin Trout (27-2, 14 KOs) is pulling for WBC middleweight champion Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32 KOs) to defeat Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (44-1-1, 31 KOs) when/if they face each other next year on May 2nd on Cinco de Mayo.
Trout thinks he’d have a better chance of getting a rematch against the 34-year-old Cotto than he would against Canelo because of his previous win over Cotto in 2012. Canelo defeated Trout by a very close decision in 2013 in a fight that could have gone Trout’s way.

By Kevin Pasquale: In my previous article for this site, I waxed poetic on the “who, why, and what if” on Money & Manny finally getting in the ring together. If that fight comes to pass, then there will be more to say at that time—maybe enough to write another article.
