Styles make fights and his [Clottey] defense is one where he blocks punches, then he has to bring his hands down to look at you and then throw punches. Manny is too fast to stay there in the pocket and receive punches. I believe he will hit him then move side to side.”

Let’s look at who Pacquiao has fought since 2007: Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, David Diaz, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto. Now obviously Diaz, 33, wasn’t a shot fighter at the time that Pacquiao chose to fight him in June 2008, but then again, few people considered Diaz, then the World Boxing Council lightweight champion, to be the best fighter in the lightweight division at the time that Pacquiao fought him.

Hatton, 31, is open to the idea of fighting World Boxing Association light welterweight champion Amir Khan, but says that he wants to have a part in promoting the fight. It doesn’t seem, however, that Hatton is looking to fight Khan next.
