By Chris Williams: Juan Manuel Lopez (31-2, 28 KO’s) has now been knocked out brutally in two out of his last three fights and taken punishment in his last five fights against the likes of Orlando Salido, Bernabe Concepcion, Mike Oliver, and Rafael Marquez. Lopez was stopped for the second time last night by Salido and he looked bad in losing.

By Jason Kim: For boxing fans that had the pleasure to watch WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido (38-11-2, 26 KO’s) successfully defend his title last night in a 10th round stoppage of former WBO champ Juan Manuel Lopez (31-2, 28 KO’s), a lot of the fans would likely be in shock to learn that two of the judges actually had the 28-year-old Lopez ahead of the fight by the scores of 86-84 at the time the fight was halted in the 10th after Lopez was knocked down by Salido.

By Allan Fox: If there’s anything that Juan Manuel Lopez (31-2, 28 KO’s) proved last night in losing to WBO featherweight champion Orlando Salido (38-11-2, 26 KO’s) in their rematch in San Juan, Puerto Rico, it’s that Lopez can’t beat his style. I don’t agree that Lopez is a shot fighter, because there are few guys in the featherweight division that could have stood up to the big shots that Lopez landed in the first eight rounds of the bout.

Salido knocked Lopez down with a left hand in the 10th after hurting him with a powerful right hand. Lopez stumbled to his feet but kept staggering, which caused the referee Roberto Ramirez Sr. to stop the fight at :32 of the round.

Referee Roberto Ramirez Sr. did Lopez a huge favor by stopping the fight after he was knocked to the canvas by Salido in the 10th.
