By Sean McDaniel: Supposedly, Ricky Hatton has changed a lot since taking on new trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr., no longer madly bum rushing his opponents and leaving himself open for punches on the way in. Let’s hope that’s true for Hatton’s sake, because I think that tactic might not be effective against Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd. At 30, old fighters rarely are able to make notable changes to their fighting style no matter how hard they try.

Pacquiao Taken For a Ride
By Sam Gregory: According to The Contra Costa Times, the 27 year old wife of Manny Pacquiao’s driver, Joseph Jose, has been arrested by the Los Angeles police last Monday for stealing more than $89,000 from the Wells Fargo, Sunset Boulevard bank account of Manny Pacquiao.
Why Hatton Will Be Destroyed By Pacquiao
By Chris Williams: In weighing the pluses and minuses of each fighter, I can’t find too many areas where Ricky Hatton matches up well with Manny Pacquiao. However remote Hatton’s chances are to win, I can’t see him coming up with a lottery winning performance in this fight. He’s too simple, crude, one-dimensional and terribly limited to beat a fighter with the speed and power of Pacquiao. The fight won’t be a pretty picture by the end.

By Scott Gilfoid: In an interview today on Sky Sports, Ricky Hatton seemed to be thinking beyond his fight with Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd, saying “There’s only one thing left to achieve, and that’s to become the pound for pound top fighter in the world. And with hard work and perseverance, and believing I’m myself, I think I can get there.” Also, Hatton spoke of himself as the best 10 pound fighter (140 pounds) in the world, ignoring the fact that he’s still not fought Junior Witter and Timothy Bradley, as well as a few other top fighters in the light welterweight division.

What’s Next For Mosley?
By Manuel Perez: New WBA welterweight champion Shane Mosley (46-5, 39 KOs) must feel like a little kid in a big candy store since winning the title from Antonio Margarito with an upset 9th round TKO on Saturday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. With the decks stacked against him, the small 5’9″ Mosley pulled off the upset by using his natural advantage in hand speed along with a strategy which included a lot of clinching to defeat Margarito.
Hatton Close To An Agreement For Pacquiao Bout
By Chris Williams: Manny Pacquiao has signed the contract and faxed it to the headquarters of Top Rank and it looks as if the fight will now go ahead once Ricky Hatton signs the contract which he is expected to do. Hatton recently walked away from negotiations after tiring of waiting for Pacquiao to sign the contract, but after a couple of days in which Hatton was looking into other options, Pacquiao changed his mind and agreed to accept the 52-48 purse split. According to Hatton’s lawyer, Gareth William, they expect announce the fight on Thursday in a press conference.
If Hatton Loses To Pacquiao, Ricky Should Fight Margarito
By Jim Dower: The way I see it, if Ricky Hatton takes a brutal pounding by Manny Pacquiao on May 2nd, his best option for his next opponent should be none other than recently defeated Antonio Margarito. Who better to fight than Margarito, who’s now balancing on the edge of having his career ruined in his 9th round TKO loss to Shane Mosley on Saturday. The last person that Hatton is probably thinking about fighting right now is Margarito, but that’s because Ricky still hasn’t met up with Pacquiao.
Does Mosley Get Hatton vs. Pacquiao Winner?
By Sean McDaniel: The fight that may have gone to Antonio Margarito, looks as if the new WBA welterweight champion Shane Mosley is now sitting in the perfect position to land a bout with the winner of Manny Pacquiao vs. Ricky Hatton on May 2nd. Mosley pulled off what many people thought impossible by knocking Margarito down twice, dominating him and stopping him in the 9th round on Saturday night in a complete one-sided fight at the Staples Center.
