Can The Brits Save Hatton From Losing to Pacquiao?

hatton34235By Matt Stein: This Saturday night, 30-year-old Ricky Hatton (45-1, 32 KOs) finds himself in perhaps the biggest fight of his career in facing Filipino star Manny Pacquiao (48-3-2, 36 KOs) at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas. This is a fight that due to Hatton’s age, and his own personal three fight time line that he set for himself, is one that he can ill afford to lose.

Will Pacquiao Turn Hatton Into Another De La Hoya?

hat421232By Michael Lieberman: We are now only two days away from the huge mega clash between Ricky Hatton (45-1, 32 KOs and Manny Pacquiao (48-3-2, 36 KOs), and it’s looking more and more like Pacquiao is going to wipe the canvas with the limited Hatton and turn him into his 37th knockout victim. For me, it’s almost a foregone conclusion that Hatton’s going to lose the fight.

Hatton and Mayweather Sr. Having Problems? Who Cares!

hatton443388By Chris Williams: Supposedly there’s some problems between Ricky Hatton and his trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr., at least that’s what Yahoo writer Kevin Iole is reporting. Iole mentions something to the effect that there are rumors that Hatton isn’t getting along with his trainer Mayweather Sr. and is possibly looking at being trained by Freddie Roach, the trainer for Manny Pacquiao. This is all pretty silly, because I honestly doubt that Hatton will stick out with Mayweather Sr. anyway after Ricky gets knocked out on Saturday night by Pacquiao.

Will Hatton Revert Back to His Old Style of Fighting?

hatton3304By Chris Williams: Ricky Hatton (45-1, 32 KOs) takes his so called new style of fighting into this Saturday night’s bout with Manny Pacquiao at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas. Hatton has said over and over again until he’s blue in the face that he’s a different fighter than he used to be in the earlier part of his boxing career, but Hatton hasn’t had to show it as of yet because he’s only fought Paulie Malignaggi since taking on new trainer Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Hatton-Pacquiao: Look for Ricky to Take a Terrible Beating

hatton4542355By Michael Lieberman: There’s only three more days left before Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao meet up in the ring on Saturday night at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The closer we get to D-day, the more boxing fans and writers seem to be jumping off the Hatton ship and putting their money on Pacquiao to win the fight. It isn’t because Pacquiao is looked at as invincible, because he’s far from that, but mostly because of how good Pacquiao has looked in beating his last four opponents Marco Antonio Barrera, Juan Manuel Marquez, David Diaz and Oscar De La Hoya.

Calzaghe Picking Hatton to Beat Pacquiao – News

hatton342234By Eric Thomas: In an interview with the BBC Sport, Joe Calzaghe is choosing Ricky Hatton to beat Manny Pacquiao this Saturday at the MGM Grand, in Las Vegas, saying “It’s going to be a very tough fight for Ricky, but he’s got a better chance of beating Manny than Floyd Mayweather Jr.” It’s kind of a prediction where it’s hard to tell whether or not Calzaghe truly believes that Hatton really can beat Pacquiao, since Mayweather dominated Hatton for the most part before taking him out in the 10th round in December 2007.

Pacquiao-Hatton 24/7 Episode #3: Another Boring Show

roach34253By Manuel Perez: Just when I thought the Manny Pacquiao-Ricky Hatton 24/7 series couldn’t have gotten worse, I had to watch another dull installment, episode #3, which aired last Saturday night. It seemed that that the HBO film crew were to desperate for footage, they actually wasted time in filming Hatton, Mayweather Sr. and their entourage sitting down and watching the Pacquiao-Hatton 24/7 episode #2 special. The viewers had to sit by and watch how Hatton and Mayweather Sr. laughed at seeing themselves on film.

Hatton-Pacquiao: Size Matters!

hatton3444534By Jack Herbert: Approximately 11ET on May 2nd, Ricky Hatton and Manny Pacquiao will be facing each other in the centre of the ring in the MGM grand in Las Vegas in without doubt the most exciting fight of the year. Unfortunately in our sport of boxing, the sport I love so much the hype machine and the constant building up and knocking down of boxers is something that goes unnoticed by most boxing fans that will check in to watch the biggest fight of the year.
