By Jim Dower: Having been denied once by the Nevada Athletic Commission in trying to get his boxing license back, attorneys for former two-time welterweight champion Antonio Margarito have filed a legal brief to the Nevada Athletic Commission, looking to get his boxing license to fight Manny Pacquiao on November 13th in Nevada, according to news from the LA Times. Margarito lost his boxing license last year after a plaster-like material was found on his hand wraps before his title fight with Shane Mosley in January 2009. At the time, Margarito was the World Boxing Association welterweight champion.

Mayweather-Pacquiao: The Personal Preference Factor
By Arfan Ali: The lips of boxing fans have been engraved with two words over the past couple of months “Mayweather” and “Pacquiao”. There is no need to shed deeper light into the situation as negotiations are ongoing but let’s unravel back to the last time negotiations took place and were they fell apart.
The factor many thought that would be the hardest to resolve would be the money, however a 50:50 split was quickly resolved. The issue which left many heartbroken as to being deprived of a mega-fight and inducing a lawsuit of defamation of character was the deadline of random drug testing.

Arum planning a trip to visit Monterrey, Mexico – News
By Jason Kim: According to fightnews.com, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is planning on taking a trip to Monterrey, Mexico, presumably so he can scout out the city for his two fighters Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito. Arum has been leaning in the direction of having Pacquiao fight Margarito next rather than putting Pacquiao in a rematch that few boxing fans want to see right now with Miguel Cotto.
Boxing fans want Pacquiao to fight Bradley, but instead we get Margarito or Cotto
By Chris Williams: Ever since WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley (26-0, 11 KO’s) moved up in weight to easily defeat knockout artist and top welterweight contender Luis Carlos Abregu (29-1, 23 KO’s) last weekend, boxing fans have been asking why Manny Pacquiao won’t fight Bradley instead of who he will end up fighting Antonio Margarito or Miguel Cotto.
Mayweather Sr. – “Arum don’t call no f*cking shots”
By Eric Thomas: Floyd Mayweather Sr. was in his usual tell I like it is mood on East Side Boxing’s On the Ropes Boxing Radio program recently, giving his thoughts about why his son Floyd Mayweather Jr. didn’t elect to agree to a contract to fight World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao. Mayweather Sr. had this to say about it: “Bob Arum don’t call no f*cking shots. The fight can be made anytime they want the fight to be made. Little Floyd definitely ain’t scared of no Pacquiao. That’s the last thing in the world that little Floyd is scare of, a little Filipino midget.”
Mayweather ducks Pacquiao
By Giancarlo Malinconico: Right from the start I want fans to know that Floyd Mayweather Jr. would not have faced Manny Pacquiao earlier this year even if the Pac Man had agreed to the 14-day random blood testing proposal: a source from the Mayweather camp has leaked the information. Camp Mayweather has recently become so petty that it has denied that negotiations have even taken place with Bob Arum concerning the potentially biggest bout in boxing history later this year.
Pacquiao vs. Mayweather: It’s a No-Brainer
By Christian Ramos: It’s a no-brainer. The mega-fight between the self proclaimed “Greatest Boxer to Ever Live” Floyd Mayweather Jr. and “Fighter of the Decade” Manny Pacquiao is going to happen. The media has poured out as much Kool-Aid as it possibly could, and it amazingly seems as if the boxing world is hooked. It’s actually not a bad thing though. This is exactly what makes this fight what it is and what it’s going to be, the biggest fight in the history of the sport.
For Pacquiao, it’s either Cotto or Margarito
By Chris Williams: If your a fan of competitive fights, then you can pretty much forget about seeing any interesting match-ups involving WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao.
Arum doesn’t want to give Bradley or Williams a “free ride” by matching them against Pacquiao- News
By Jason Kim: Dan Rafael of ESPN reports that Bob Arum, the promoter of World Boxing Organization welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, isn’t interested in matching Pacquiao up with stars like Timothy Bradley and Paul Williams because Arum thinks they’re not well known enough by boxing fans, and he doesn’t want to give them a “free ride” by helping their careers by pitting them with his number #1 star Pacquiao. Arum says this about the talented unbeaten Bradley:
