floyd002By Chris Williams: While a lot of boxing fans feel that possibly Amir Khan or Manny Pacquiao have the fastest hands in the sport today, trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. firmly believes that the fastest hands in the sport go to his son WBA/WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26 KOs).

Floyd Sr. jokingly says he would have the fastest hands in boxing if he were a little younger, but right now that title goes to Mayweather Jr.

Roach Still Thinks Mayweather Does Not Want to Fight Pacquiao

By Raj Parmar: As boxing fans finally get set to witness the fight they have been dreaming about for the last six years between boxing pound for pound greats in Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, Manny’s trainer Freddie Roach remains steadfast that had Floyd gotten his way then the fight would have never happened.

While responding to images of Floyd swimming as he prepares for the showdown with Pacquiao, Roach reaffirmed his view that “Money” was pushed into the fight by overwhelming public pressure.

roach56By Chris Williams: After seeing Floyd Mayweather Jr working out with his expert strength and conditioning coach Alex Ariza in a pool workout on Monday, Freddie Roach, the trainer for WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao, thought it was somewhat amusing, as he believes that Mayweather and Ariza aren’t heading in the right direction if they want to beat the 36-year-old Pacquiao.

Roach sees it as a change in Mayweather’s normal training regimen, and he doesn’t see it as a move that will pay off for him.

However, Top Rank promoter Bob Arum, who just happens to be the promoter for Pacquiao, believes that Pacquiao has the better skills at this point in his career than Mayweather.

Donaire thinks the best think that the 36-year-old Pacquiao can do is use his in and out attacking style, and look to use side to side angles to keep Mayweather guessing.

Donaire thinks the movement will keep Mayweather from being able to get comfortable in the ring to where he can time the Filipino star to nail him with counters like he always does to his opponent.

Arum hopeful Nevada commission chooses good referee & judges for Mayweather-Pacquiao fight

pac00234(Photo credit: Esther Lin/Showtime) By Allan Fox: Top Rank promoter Bob Arum is hoping that a good referee and set of judges is selected by the Nevada State Athletic Commission for the May 2nd mega fight between Arum’s Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. Arum, who promotes Pacquiao, says that the Filipino star hasn’t put much attention on who the judges and referee will be. Pacquiao is too busy training for his fight with Mayweather.

Other than his first fight against Tim Bradley, Pacquiao hasn’t been on the receiving end of controversial decisions. In three cases, Pacquiao was the beneficiary of two controversial wins and a controversial draw against Juan Manuel Marquez in their first three fights.

Roach: Pacquiao is in top condition, he’s a freak!

Roach feels that Pacquiao won’t have any stamina issues in the fight with Mayweather. He thinks that Pacquiao will be able to fight hard for three minutes of every round for the full 12 rounds.
