Khan: If I don’t fight Mayweather and Pacquiao soon it’ll be too late

khan343444By Scott Gilfoid: With Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao both getting older and nearing retirement, Britain’s Amir Khan (30-3, 19 KOs) is starting to worry that he’s running out of time to get a fight against both of them. Khan, 28, wants to be the one that gives Mayweather his first loss of his career, and he also would like to face Pacquiao before he retires.

Those two stars are facing each other on May 2nd, and will both be getting a bundle of cash for that fight. The kind of money that Mayweather and Pacquiao will be getting for their mega-fight in Las Vegas, Nevada is going to make it very, very hard for them to want to take a tremendous pay cut to fight someone like Khan, who doesn’t have the fan base in the United States that they do, and who doesn’t bring much to the table other than an ability to self-promote.

Ellerbe: Pacquiao will be shell-shocked when the bell rings against Mayweather

Floyd Mayweather Work Out for the PressBy Chris Williams: It’s quite common for fighters to appear overawed by the experience of getting in the ring with superstar Floyd Mayweather Jr. for the first time, and this causes them to fight below their potential.

Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe feels that Manny Pacquiao will be a little overwhelmed by the impact of sharing the same ring with the world famous Mayweather in their fight on May 2nd next month, and he feels that Pacquioao us going to underperform instead of over perform.

Mayweather Sr: Pacquiao hasn’t knocked anybody out in five damn years!

1-_DSC6743By Chris Williams: Trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. thinks it’s comical to hear talk of Manny Pacquiao being able to possibly score a knockout over Floyd Mayweather Jr. in their fight in two weeks from now on 5/2. Floyd Sr., like a lot of boxing fans, has noticed that Pacquiao hasn’t knocked anyone out since 2009 when he defeated Miguel Cotto in a strength-draining catch-weight at 145 pounds.

With zero knockouts ever since in Pacquiao’s last nine fights, Floyd Sr. doesn’t see him as having any chance at all of scoring a knockout when his power seemingly has abandoned him since that catch-weight fight against Cotto six long years ago.

Floyd Mayweather Jr: 2 Blueprints for beating Pacquiao

1-_DSC8105By Yannis Mihanos: The blueprint in beating Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2) seems to be out there available in his 5 defeats in the past. The one blueprint that seems to stand out of them more is also his most recent one: it is in the 4th fight against Juan Manuel Marquez in 2012. In that fight an impatient and reckless Pacquiao got knocked out and stopped in the 6th round by Marquez.

I believe this is the general idea that runs into Floyd Mayweather Jr’s mind and of course to his training team. I believe this is also the main focus of his training, and that’s why he has gone into all these different types of training: to make him become stronger.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao SUPERFIGHTBy Raj Parmar: As Manny Pacquiao goes through his final preparations for his historic showdown with boxing’s biggest attraction in Floyd Mayweather Jr, he has revealed that he is not totally satisfied with the economic split between the two fighters.

Mayweather Jr. vs. Pacquiao: When you just want to watch a good or great bout

Manny PacquiaoBy Shaun La: As the mega-bout (fight night is the 2nd of May!) between Floyd Mayweather Jr. & Manny Pacquiao appears to be closing in as the month of April dwindles down, I have yet to select a boxer who I think will come out as the winner. My mind has played various scenes and outcomes for both boxers.

At one point in time, I saw Manny coming and earning the win by being the aggressor and being a bolt of pressure that makes Floyd Jr. look like he is unaware of what is coming from Manny’s speed, footwork and combos.
