What does the future hold for boxing?

Image: What does the future hold for boxing?by Sam Gregory: One way of looking to the future of boxing is to look to see who is up to be inducted into the boxing Hall-of-Fame. Once a fighter is retired for five years he’s eligible to be inducted into the IBHOF. I attended the 2007 induction ceremonies at the IBHOF. Roberto Duran, Pernell Whitaker and Ricardo Lopez were among the inductee’s.

They knew that when they got into boxing…In real life brothers fight all the time…Anyway you look at it, brothers get into it. Brothers fight. Why not get paid for it?” I’ve been saying the same thing for a long time. The Klitschko brothers need to stand up on their hind legs and make this fight happen.

Forget About a Lewis Comeback

Vitali Klitschko: “Maybe Lennox Lewis is Thinking About Coming Back”

vitali434453.jpgBy Aaron Klein: If talking is all it would take to get Lennox Lewis to come back, then WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko would have had his long hoped for bout against Lewis long ago. But that doesn’t look like it’s going to be happening – ever. Still, I suppose you can’t blame Vitali for trying.

In a recent interview with Setanta Sports, Vitali said “Right now, after the Peter fight, a fight against Lennox Lewis is very interesting. Besides those fights, Lewis never shied away from taking on other top fighters like David Tua, Oliver McCall and Ray Mercer, to name just a few.
