N’Dam: I’ve fought better punchers than Lemieux

lemieuxBy Allan Fox: Former WBO middleweight champion Hassan N’Dam (31-1, 18 KOs) isn’t worried about the punching power of #4 IBF David Lemieux (33-2, 31 KOs) in their fight this Saturday at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

N’Dam, 31, says he’s been in the ring with bigger punchers than Lemieux in the past, and he feels like he’ll have little problems in beating the 5’9” Lemieux in front of his own fans.

Golovkin with chance to fight Lemieux-N’Dam winner

golovkin64By Dan Ambrose: It’s looking like the only chance that WBA middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (33-0, 30 KOs) has at getting a big fight in the near future is for him to wait until the smoke clears for the June 20th fight between David Lemieux (33-2, 31 KOs) and Hassan N’Dam (31-1, 18 KOs) this Saturday night at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Canada.

Lemieux and N’Dam are fighting for the vacant IBF middleweight title that was stripped from Jermain Taylor due to his legal problems. Golovkin has to hope that if Lemieux wins, Golden Boy Promotions, the promoters for Lemieux, will allow their fighter to face Golovkin in a unification fight.

What’s the next big thing for David Lemieux?

lemieux1By Sarkis Aghbashian: There are talks about David Lemieux (33-2-31 KO’s), ranked #5 by IBF and #2 by WBC, facing the French Cameroonian #1 IBF Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam (31-1-18 KO’s) for the vacant middleweight IBF title. The title belonged to Jermain Taylor (33-4-1-20 KO’s) who got in trouble with the law and had to vacate his belt.

The fight between Lemieux and Hassan is still not an official done deal, but I think it will happen in May or beginning of June 2015. The fight will happen in Montreal at the Centre Bell and not in the U.S. Even though Lemieux got the U.S public’s interest after defeating the brave Gabriel Rosado by a 10th round TKO in New York on HBO. N’Dam is no big name in the states and Lemieux is the superstar in Montreal. Golden Boy, with whom Lemieux signed, will push the fight to be in Montreal because it will be a sold out show and will generate big numbers on HBO.
